Teaching, Teamwork, and Togetherness: Reflecting on an Amazing Year

As we gear up for the summer program, we want to take a moment to shine a spotlight on the incredible work our teachers and staff have done over the past school year.

Behind every classroom display, lesson plan, and silly theme day was a team of educators giving their whole hearts. They taught letters, zipped coats, solved conflicts, soothed fears, and celebrated every small victory along the way. The growth we’ve seen in our children this year—socially, emotionally, and academically—is a direct result of the passion and dedication of this team.

And none of this happens in a vacuum.

Our greatest successes come when teachers and families work together. When we communicate openly, share concerns early, and work as a team, our kids thrive. Whether it’s a quick message, a Brightwheel update, or a friendly check-in at pick-up, these small moments of connection build trust and reinforce the partnership that makes Relay special.

Ocean Week & Butterfly Magic: Wrapping Up the School Year with Sunshine and Smiles

As we wrap up our final themed week of the 2024–25 school year, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the magic of Ocean Week and the beauty of nature that surrounded it.

Our students dove into all things ocean—from sea creatures and sandy shores to shells and sunshine. But the real highlight? Releasing our beautiful butterflies! 🦋 And yes, we have the pictures to prove it (cue the proud teacher and happy kiddo tears!).

Our little learners were able to witness the full life cycle of a butterfly—from caterpillar to chrysalis to butterfly—and then had the joy of setting them free into the world.

This week, we’re embracing our final theme of the year: Summer! We’re talking sunshine collages, sand handprints (because really, can you ever have enough handprints?), sunglasses crafts, and stories like Pete the Cat at the Beach.
